Hello! I'm a writer and editor based in Milwaukee. My reporting, profiles, essays, and reviews have been published variously in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, Real Simple, Good Housekeeping, Oprah Daily, and ELLE, where I was a contributing writer and editor for 21 years.
I also ghostwrite for executives, write and edit for universities and nonprofits, produce health content (for the Mayo Clinic Press and other outlets), and write ad copy and branded content for local and international companies (including L'Oreal Paris). A children's book I co-wrote—Girl Activist!—was published by Downtown Bookworks/Simon & Schuster in July 2019.
